This is a large toy steam engine tractor that measures approximately is 15″ l x 8″w x 10 h (top of stack). It is an older piece of american steampunk folk art manufactured circa late 1800′s – early 1900′s. This piece is marked ” detroit lubricator co” on the front door. Was founded in 1879 by henry clay hodges and his brother charles c. This piece has been in my family for quite some time and my 82 year old grandfather remembered playing with it when he was a child. It is surprisingly heavy as everything made over a century ago was manufactured with the finest quality and craftsmanship.
