This is an antique #1 gardner flyball governor in used condition. Patent aug 14 1878 so the tag on the unit states. It was saved from being scraped when his neighbor became ill. Made of cast iron. Valve has some exposed brass. The pulley has a slight break in one side or missing a piece if you want to know. Wire integrated into frame. Good piece of americana.
