This engine has been restored probably 20 years ago, and is in excellent condition. The skids under this engine are original and in perfect shape, the gas tank is also in very good shape, with no leaks or repairs. This engine even has the original tin crank guard, and pressed steel pulley. The Sumter magneto is nice and HOT, and I put a brand new base on it, from Rudy Adrian’s Magneto. There are NO cracks, breaks or welds on this engine that I can find. Flywheels run true and compression is very strong. It even has the original nameplate still on the head. If you have been looking for a plug oscillator Fairbanks to add you your collection, they don’t get much better than this one! I can store this engine for up to 6 months or until you come get it, we are 100 miles north of Detroit. (engine runs better once it gets really warm).
