There is no nameplate so I don’t know what this one was tagged as. The flywheels are 28 so I assume it was either rated 5 or 6hp. The engine is in excellent shape mechanically, compression is super, and there is very little wear on the moving parts. The negatives are, the carburetor is not correct but works fine, it is off a Stover engine. The detent appears to be welded, but see picture, it almost looks like maybe just the way it was casted? Also the governor weights are homemade, but somebody did a great job making them (governor bracket it correct). Webster magneto and bracket are in great shape, and the magneto is nice and HOT! This engine resembles a Waterloo, but that’s the only similarity, the looks, nothing interchanges, they are totally different from a Waterloo and a lot harder to come by. Head looks good with no welds that I can find. Hopper holds water just fine, no leaks, same with the gas tank. The cart it is sitting on is very well built, whoever put it together took their time and did it right. It comes with a nice channel iron tongue to pull it around (not pictured). The engine has the original belt pulley and correct muffler as well. This engine is ready to take to the shows, needs nothing but some gas and oil! It can set here until April 1st, 2016 as long as it is paid in full. Video of engine running. The item “GREAT RUNNING 5HP KANSAS CITY FAULTLESS HIT & MISS ENGINE ON CART!
