Here’s an item that certainly doesn’t turn up very often! It’s an original CT Hamm or Rochester kerosene headlight for an early prairie gas or steam tractor. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs and has minor surface rust. It is a large headlight and measures about 9 1/4 x 12 1/4 x 22 1/2 inches tall. The reflector is in great shape with one minor ding that I’ve tried to point out in a picture. It has the original carrying handle on it and it works great. All of the doors both sliding and hinged work as they should and have no issues. It has remains of the “AVERY Company, Peoria, IL” stenciled on it as can be seen in a photo. These original headlights hardly ever turn up in the wild or even at swap meets and they really dress up a prairie tractor or traction engine! If you’ve been looking for one here’s your chance. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up and it probably won’t be this nice. The pictures tell the story.
