This is a pretty nice older restoration early style 2 1/2hp United hit and miss engine. It has the early style ignitor trip and an open crankcase. It is in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I’m aware of other than the rocker arm which could easily be replaced. The head hasn’t been repaired like most of them. It needs a muffler and a correct gas tank which are both available as reproductions. It is on a homemade cart that makes it easy to move. It has a heavy wooden battery box on it as can be seen. It has excellent compression and should run with some fresh gas and a battery and coil although I haven’t tried it. It ran a few years ago at local shows. The paint on the crankguard needs some attention but I think it’s the wrong color, anyway. I can deliver it for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for and I will load it for you. The pictures tell the story. It’s a pretty good sized engine for 2 1/2hp.
