This is an extremely hard to find original Splitdorf 246T two cylinder magneto for the early John Deere D farm tractors. It is in remarkable original condition with no crack, s breaks, or repairs of any kind except for a chipped ear on the distributor cap which shouldn’t affect it’s function. It is counter clockwise rotation and mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern. The mounting threads are in great shape. There is some minor metal expansion in the base near the holes but not nearly as bad as many of these magnetos! It turns over nicely with good magnetic pull and the impulse works as it should. It has some decent spark but could probably use some more cleaning and possibly a condenser to liven it up. These original 246T magnetos are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one for an authentic restoration or for a spare on the shelf here it is!
