This is an extremely nice old Sumter #22 rotary magneto for a 3hp or 6hp Fairbanks Morse Z engine with the ignitor ignition. It is in excellent rebuilt condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. The bearings have been bushed and have no play in them. It has the original base that mounts to the engine with two holes 3 13/16 inches apart on center. It turns over nicely with excellent magnetic pull as the magnets have just been recharged. It has the original nameband on it. I’ve checked this magneto and it puts out a hot fat, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is setup properly. It would even make a great spare on the shelf! The pictures tell the story. You won’t be disappointed in any way. These bigger Sumter magnetos don’t turn up very often in the wild or even at swap meets so don’t miss your chance on it. They are MUCH harder to find than the #12 and #14! They usually require several hundred dollars worth of repair work… It’s already done.
