Hello All and thanks for stopping by. Up for sale or offers here is a 1931 John Deere 1 and 1/2 horsepower type E hit and miss engine. Serial number is 324144, which according to the lists I found puts this as a 1931 year of manufacture. Engine starts easy and runs nice. Just had the magneto recharged so she’s good and hot. Not sure if that is original paint or not. This sat in my dad’s machine shop under a tarp out of the sun and dry for 30 some years. This would be an easy complete restoration. Engine needs a good cleaning and thorough go-thru, but nothing major. Could use new gaskets (as most of them could) but it runs fine as it is. Nice little engine at a great price for any entry level Deere collector or and Deere collector in general. I don’t have the means or space to build a pallet or crate for this, it will be on the skids it is on now when I drop it at the terminal. Engine can sit for a month here as long as it is paid for, I’ll keep her dry and safe. Thank you for looking.
