Fairbanks Morse 3 Horsepower Hit and Miss “Z” Engine. This engine is coupled to a Fairbanks Morse “H” type Compressor. This engine/compressor was used to provide compressed air to start early Fairbanks Morse Diesel Engines. This unit has been stored indoors since about 1925. Members of our family were involved in early Utah mining and power generation. It needs some TLC and general clean up and a patient soul who knows how to get it running again. It would be perfect for tying to an early FM diesel engine to provide starting air pressure. It is truly unique.
