JOHN DEERE 1 1/2 hp Hit Miss Engine model E serial # 298723 New Rings – New valves (installed valve guides)cut new seats – New gas tank – New gaskets – new Springs – new decals – new wood skids – New oil pan – Runs on battery and low tension Coil I made a nice little wood box for the battery and coil. {see Pics} I had taken several pictures of my work so you can see the type of work I do. This engine was completely taken apart and Cleaned using Electrolysis I DO NOT SAND Blast / BEAD Blast Antique engine parts. I painted it original John Deere green paint. I take a lot of pride in these motors as you can see and I like to do a little extra detailing such as Pinstripes as you can see in the pictures. I think it makes the engine stand out better. It is not uncommon for these engine to have repairs , this one has a repair to the clynider Does affect it running. Does not leak water As you can see this engine is complete and not missing anything but a magneto No worries I have included a battery and low tension coil for the ignition. I also honed Cylinder and installed new rings. New Gas tank After putting it all back together I run a tank of fuel through it and it runs goog.. So I know it will run great and help seat the rings a little for you. Then I put on a set of real nice WATER TRANSFER DECAL NOT those NASTY sticky cheap decals. I have a lot of people will send me a motor to restore for them as well.
