This is a real nice original crank guard or splash shield for a larger Nelson Brothers hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. At least I’m pretty sure it’s Nelson Bros… If it isn’t please educate me! It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is about 6 1/8 inches wide and about 17 inches long. It is part number A-60 and mounts with one hole in the back of the crankcase of the engine. These original crankguards are rather tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and many of them are missing. If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration here’s your chance.
