Very nice original 3hp John Deere E cylinder/crankcase along with cam gear, camshaft, governor, side cover, top cover, and other small parts. It is in great shape with no cracks breaks, or repair that I can see or know of other than a small cutout in the subbase under the cylinder and a hole in the top of the crankcase cover from an honest attempt at a breather. This should be easy enough to fill in. It has the original gas tank which is pretty solid but does have some rust holes in it. It has the bearing caps but is missing one bearing and the other is chipped. The bore looks good and has some surface rust and very minor pitting if anything. I think with some honing it would be quite usable! The governor cover has the original brass tag on it and is the earlier cover with all of the writing. This would be a very restorable engine with the addition of several parts or a good donor engine for your 3hp John Deere with a cracked water jacket!
