This is a very nice original American Bosch FX1 ED1 high tension magneto for an old engine. It was factory equipment on some of the International Harvester Type M engines. The bearings have almost no noticeable wear and it turns over very smoothly with good magnetic pull. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It puts out a good, hot, blue spark that will surely run an engine if it is set up properly with the addition of the correct gear for your application. It has the original points cover and everything inside is in great shape. It has a 30 tooth gear on it now for the 1 1/2hp engine but this could easily be changed. It mounts on a 1 7/8 x 3 3/8 pattern. These original Bosch FX1 magnetos are getting tougher to find every day so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one.
