Offered for sale is an antique 1928 John Deere 6hp. Engine on an original cart with a clutch pulley. The engine is belted to a period correct air compressor that operates a custom made whistle. This is likely the best John Deere hit and miss show piece that you will see. I bought the engine and cart from a collector and it was one of the nicest original 6 hp engines on an original cart that you would ever want to see. No cracks or welds of any kind. The 6hp is coupled to a rare and very hard to find original John Deere clutch pulley which is belted to an early 1900′s compressor. The whistle volume can be adjusted by adjusting the air pressure valve. The whistle can also be operated by using a remote air compressor if you do not wish to run the 6hp. The whistle is loud enough that it will be heard all over a fair ground or it can be turned down if desired. If you want to be the hit of a show this piece is it.
