Here is a very stout and impressive 9hp Ideal vertical tank cooled hit and miss engine. This may be the largest ignitor fired Ideal still alive from the limited research I’ve done. It is in great shape and was restored many years ago and shown locally. Everything turns and interacts as it should and it has good compression. It has an extremely well done homemade fuel pump on it. The ignitor and trip linkage has some repairs on them but there are no other cracks, breaks, or repairs on it that I can see or know of. It is unique in that it pulls down to trip the ignitor. It has 3 3/8 x 30 flywheels on it and is very impressive when standing near it. It has a belt drive water pump which (I’m not sure) looks to be original and a very nicely done stainless steel screen cooler. The original name tag is missing but you can clearly see where it was. Currently it has a homemade stamped brass tag with the information on it. It is on a homemade drop cart that isn’t the fanciest but surely makes moving it easier! I haven’t tried to run it but I doubt it would take very much to make noise.
