Here is a real nice 4-bolt magneto mounting bracket for an Associated Chore Boy or Hired Man hit and miss gas engine. It is part number DVE and is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It mounts to the engine with two holes 1 3/4 inches apart on center. The magneto mounts on a 2 3/4 inch square pattern. The crossover gear is in good shape and moves as it should. This part is ready to be used on an engine with no extra attention. If you need one to add a magneto to your engine or to replace your broken or repaired one here is a great opportunity. These unrepaired brackets don’t come up very often so don’t miss it. Here is an original magneto for an Associated Pony Engine. It appears to be in great shape but it is stuck. I have not tried to take it apart and free it up. The man I bought it from said it was a great hot mag a few years ago. It is basically a JD mag that Associated turned into a high tension mag for the Pony engines. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. If you want to talk about it 419 789 1159. 2 mounting pattern, the threads seem to be perfect. The case has a couple very slight hairline cracks at the corner edge (see pics), that is a common things with these mags and will not hurt a thing. The gear is cast iron and is about 4-11/32 in diameter. I think I list items very accurately but my opinion on condition may differ from yours. I have not had most of these mags apart and may not know what the inside looks like. If you want advice on how to use it please give me a call and I’ll be glad to help. This is a rather hard to find original Webster magneto ignitor bracket body for an Associated or United hit and miss gas engine. It should fit all the sizes of engines but please measure your engine to be sure it will work for you. It is bracket number 303K55 and seems to be unused New Old Stock with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It mounts with two holes 2 inches apart on center and the magneto mounts on a 2 x 2 inch square hole pattern so it would take a Model K or L Webster magneto. There is no wear on the movable shaft that I can feel. The point on the movable electrode is in perfect condition. It needs a stationary electrode, advance/retard lever and roller and return spring to be complete. I acquired it with a couple other NOS Webster brackets from an old collection. If you need an Associated ignitor bracket for any reason here is a very nice one that just needs some small available items to be functional. This bracket should be interchangeable with the 303K62 brackets for the Ottawa engines but this K55 is the authentic number used on Associated engines. The pictures tell the story. This is a brand NEW Associated 6 HP Chore Boy Brass data tag copied from an original tag. THIS IS AN ETCHED TAG AND HAS DEPTH. IT IS NOT A PRINTED TAG. I make these tags myself and take great pride and care to make sure this tag has the look and the feel of an original. Happy to say that this tag was made right here in the U. Made from 0.032 thick sheet brass. I use a process very similar to the way the original tags were made. You will be hard pressed to tell the difference in my tags and an original. This tag is ready to stamp with your engines’ specific information. Mounting holes are not drilled but they are clearly marked by the etching process. Depth of etch is consistent with original antique brass tags. This tag will fit engines with mounting holes center to center distances. Horizontal mounting holes = 5.125. Vertical mounting holes = 3.00. IMPORTANT: Please measure your engines’ mounting hole spacing to ensure that this tag will fit your particular application. Please see pictures for overall dimensions.
