This is a very nice original Tritt Acme flywheel driven friction drive dynamo or generator for ignition on an old flywheel type gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It turns nicely with minimal bearing wear and the governor operates as it should. It has mild wear to the friction wheel. It motors up when hooked to a battery so it should make current to run your engine. It is about 5 x 8 1/2 x 6 inches tall overall. It mounts with two slots 4 1/8 inches apart on center. It should be ready to put on your engine or on your display shelf with the rest or your hit and miss engine accessories. For your consideration is a Reliable Electric Manufacturing Company of Indianapolis Indiana, Auto Sparker or Dynamo. The tag says 1500 rpm, type:S5, No:4079. It was patented July 17 1900, May 23 1901, May 20 1902. It is Hot producing a spark at the time of testing, the proof is shown with a test light in the last picture. The 3/8×1/2 mounting slots are about 4-5/8 on center. The governor seems to function as it should. It may need a new friction drive leather. The top cover is spring loaded as it should be. There is a little play in the bearing but that shouldnt effect its usage. The back bearing plate shows some pitting. These old belt driven or friction drive generators or dynamos are getting tougher to find every day, so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one! Wheeler Schebler belt driven or friction drive generator or auto sparker for ignition on a gasoline engine. It appears to be serial #412 stamped in the body. Three rows of double stacked magnets. Brass base – could be fitted to almost any engine. 4 hole mount measures 4 3/4″ x 4 1/4″. 4 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ x 7. Has a friction wheel. Has a spring loaded base to keep the belt tight or the friction pulley against the flywheel. Leaving with original patina. I apologize for any inconvenience. Here is a very nice and rare K-W Model B lighting generator that probably was originally on some old Tractor, Car. I think it is in great shape. It is on a cast iron base that has a corners chipped off. There is no bearing wear that I can feel. When I turn it by hand and put a wire connected to one terminal against the other it makes sparks. For sale is an Original Barn Fresh Delco 850 watt unit. It is a very clean unit with very low hours. If you look at the valve springs they look like they are new! I have had this unit running, I just dont believe that I had the correct battery setup for it to stay running by itself. This would be a great addition to anyones collection.
