Essex Brass Corp Detroit Mich. Brass Double Drip Oiler. This hard to find style oiler was used on many brands of antique marine engines as well as Detroit and Bessemer Vertical hit and miss engines to list a few. The oiler is large measuring 3 1/2 inches in diameter and has an overall length of 9 1/2 inches. The oiler was disassembled and cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner. This oiler is in very good condition with minimal dings scratches and wrench marks. The oiler glass has a few scratches on the outside but no cracks or chips. I did not disassemble the lower sight glasses, both glasses are in good shape, they still have a little oil reside inside that needs to be flushed out. One side has a brass elbow and the other side still has its functional check valve. The oiler will need new gaskets before use and will look really nice with a light buffing.
