Very rare factory booklet from the Root & Vandervoort Engineering Co, in good condition. Beautiful factory artist renderings of several model R & V engines available at the time. These renderings or plates were used in the making of the factory sales literature. Very few of these booklets are known to exist. Leather covers with the Root & Vandervoort Company logo embossed on the cover. It measures about 11 inches X 7 inches. The booklet has 18 fantastic pages. There are some blue check marks on some of the pages. Probably done at the factory. Also slight discoloration due to age. An awesome piece of literature to add to your collection. Live Steam Engine Model. Its been suggested it might be… I don’t know. You are looking at a a very nice Live steam Engine component, found as part of a clean large collection. And being offered individually, listed separately… No makers markings found for reference. You are seeing it exactly as I can see it in all the pictures provided and use the enlarge tool for closer looks. This looks to be extremely well built. Measurements are provided in the pictures. All the levers seem to function and the wheels and gears turn freely… Pistons alternate and move freely. And understand this is an untested project for use, may require tinkering with it for running operation. This is an extremely hard to find original ignitor for a National Engineering hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine made in Michigan. It likely fits several sizes of their engines. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes 3 1/8 inches apart on center. Please consult your parts book or measure your engine to be sure it is correct for your application. It is in great used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. There is very little noticeable wear on the movable shaft, the trip finger or the points! This is a VERY nice ignitor! If you need an ignitor for your engine because yours is missing, broken, or repaired here’s your chance at a pretty nice one. There’s an awful lot of them missing! It would also make a great spare on the shelf. It would surely beat making one!! . The pictures tell the story. You won’t be disappointed in any way. Accurate Engineering Company Chicago USA. Analog meter needle moves when turned by hand. Gear marked G and 6117. Brass base marked 7117 with bronze studs. This is the same company that was used on International make and break engines until International bough the company and changed the name on the brass strap to International.
