This is a VERY hard to find Madison Kipp 4-feed lubricator most commonly found on the Lacrosse Happy Farmer tractor. It had several other applications on other tractors and engines as well. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It is a bit stiff but ratchets as it should and pumps oil from all 4 ports and seems to be in very solid condition. It mounts with two holes 9 1/2 inches apart on center. The case is in good shape as can be seen and the inside is very clean. I believe this lubricator is ready to be used on a tractor, engine, or other piece of machinery. I think with a little effort it could be converted to conventional end drive instead of the right angle configuration it currently has. The ratchet lever could also be replaced with a rope drive pulley. These 4-feed Madison Kipp lubricators are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. This is a real nice original 5-feed mechanical oiler or lubricator for an early gas engine, tractor, or other piece of machinery. This particular one is belt drive with a round belt pulley on the side and was likely used on an an early prairie tractor or steam traction engine, particularly a Happy Farmer tractor as it still has original orange paint on the bottom side. It was made by Madison Kipp and is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It seems to have very little wear anywhere on it and turns nicely and pumps oil from all 5 of the lines just as it should. The original level sight glass is good. The insides look to be in great condition but could possibly use a little cleaning as it had oil in it for many years. The outside of the case could also use a bit of cleaning but the old oil residue has certainly been a good preservative! It needs a new sight “tent” on it but that’s pretty easy to make out of a piece of clear plastic from a 2-liter Coke bottle. It mounts with two holes about 11 inches apart on center. The case measures about 5 x 11inches and is about 7 inches tall overall. Overall it is about 14 inches long. The drive pulley is about 5 1/2 inches in diameter. It has the original serial tag on the top. These Madison Kipp oilers are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one.
