For your consideration is an original Hercules or Economy fuel tank and fill spout # GE 4051 for a XK model Hit Miss Stationary Engine. It seems to have 1-1/4″ NPT threads, and it’s about 6″ overall long. It has red paint on the spout. Also included is the brass fitting that solders and pins to the tank. The part number is GE4050A. The tank has the 1/4 NPT tee fitting on the front for the fuel line. The tank has a dent in it but that shouldn’t effect it to much. I haven’t tested it for Leaks. This is one of the rarest versions of the model 92 single cylinder Maytag engine. It is a short base center fill engine with the rare version of ignition. There were a very few engines made at this serial number range with a transition ignition plate. The plate has nor reinforcement ribbing around its perimeter, but has the larger lead out cover and hole. This feature is as uncommon as the center fill tank which this engines also possesses. I see no cracks, breaks or welds it, and it’s complete with air cleaner and pulley. I had it running several years ago and it ran well. It’s been drained and stored since then.
