Monitor VJ 1 1/4 HP hit miss engine with Love Mfg well pump, mounted on trucks. For many years, Dad has used this as a functioning display at the Grand Meadow yearly show here in NW Iowa. It has been in dry storage for the past year or two, as he is getting older and we have pared down our display. I will take more pictures today and add them. NEVER be afraid to make an offer! I will be listing quite a few old/vintage/antiques from the estate. Was used for farm back in the day, one would hook this up to an old hit or miss engine to fill up a tank on a wagon from a pond or creek so you could water your crops. Cylinder still works when you turn the wheel. I’m not sure if this is complete or if it can be rebuilt – hopefully it can! You’re getting it as found in the barn, rust dust all. I do not see any cracks, breaks or repairs to be found anywhere. When you turn the flywheel it seems to move OK, so I’m hoping somebody can use/rebuild this for their antique farm machinery stuff. Marked with embossed lettering that reads, WARD LOVE PUMP CORP. ROCKFORD ILL USA MADE FOR CRANE CO. I looked up the patent number on an old ad I found and it was filed in 1922 to help you date the pump, the patent number was. It measures roughly 22 inches long and 15 inches tall. Old farm estate find from in-law’s barn. Great for repurposing or adding to your collection. Ready for display in any rustic setting. Please inspect the photos for markings, details and size.
