This is a very hard to find original brass ball type oil receiver that was mostly used to catch oil from a stationary oiler as it was connected to the crank pin on a large stationary steam engine. Sometimes they were called lollipop oilers. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 2 3/4 inches in diameter and has 3/4npt female threads. It has a few minor dings and wear from its years of service but it also has great original patina! It would be a great addition to your large stationary engine display or oiler collection! These unusual oiling devices are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets.
