For your consideration is an original pair of main bearing caps and the bearing shells for a 2hp Sparta Economy hit miss engine. The mounting holes are slightly over 5/8″ diameter and are about 3-1/4″ on center. The bearing is about 3″ wide and 1-1/2″ across the middle for the crankshaft diameter. They’re in original patina with some red paint. Here is a very nice Holms Governor Assembly for a 4hp Sparta Economy engine. Check out the pictures and see if you need it. For questions 419 789 1159. Came off a 4hp but may also fit other size engines. The mounting bolt holes are about 1-15/16 apart on center. The mounting pin holes are also about 1-15/16 apart on center. The push rod is 3/4″ in diameter, it is 27-11/16″ long. The detent blade has a small chip out of it on the end but it should still work fine. No other cracks, breaks, or welds, that I can see. The governor spindle is stuck but should free up very easily with some heat. Thanks for looking at this listing! Hit and miss gas engine Lunkenheimer mixer carburetor Sparta Economy. This is a 1 1/4 pipe thread Mixer. The needle valve and bottom flutter valve are free. It is as is and untested but see no reason why it wouldn’t function. This came off a 6hp Sparta Economy engine. It will fit most any hit and miss engine with that size inlet.
