Vintage Industrial Thresher Hit-Miss Steam Gas Engine Flat Belt 6 wide. Used Endless Flat Belt. The Looped Length laid out is approx 23 feet 4 inches (approx 1/2 of 46 feet). It is 6 wide. There is some edge wear as expected. Last 2 photos show some area on the inside of the belt where it looks like a pulley “gouged” the belt (on the inside). Photos show it laid out to show condition. It is very dirty. Ref no C197 – 487.
Red section of belt indicates it is a 75 foot belt. Used Endless Flat Belt. But the Looped Length laid out is approx 37 feet (1/2 of 75 feet). Photos show it laid out to show condition.
A neat ole item that needs a new home it is 8 wide and approx 39′ long, looped over, or 78′ if unlooped! Just a few spots that stand out a little but still very usable in my opinion! The cover mounting perch has been repaired, but was done well enough, and the repair is NOT part of the pulley or working part of the clutch. A great four cylinder KW ignition system high bar magneto. Mag is in very nice original condition. We cleaned it up and spun it over… Has good spark and seems to have hot and good drag. Hard to tell exactly, but magneto is either a model number 33730 or 83730. Please see pictures more detail. No visible cracks, breaks or welds in metal or brass. The splitter bar is cracked and missing corners of cylinders 3 and 4. Porcelain cap is present and not cracked. Most likely fits an early Antique prairie tractor, hit miss motor, holt, Harris, caterpillar, Minneapolis case, thresher, combine or other collectible tractors. Not exactly sure what this one will fit so please see pictures for more information. This is a barn find unit, so I do not know the history of it at all. What you see is what you get. This is a very unusual model of a fanning mill or threshing machine toy that likely took hundreds of hours to build! It is fresh from an old engine and mechanical antique collectors estate. It appears to be a fanning mill or grain thresher of sorts. It measures about 8 x 12 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches tall. It has cast iron wheels which are stuck and one is broken as I’ve pointed out. The fan and shaker table are driven by pulleys and moves as they should. It is likely 75-100 years old and possibly more… I just don’t know. It could also be some sort of salesman’s sample. I’ll let you be the judge. The shell is mostly constructed of wood or wood products and it has all old hardware holding it together. It is missing the tongue to pull it and possibly the top if it ever had one. With a little creativity this would be a great addition to your early mechanical toy collection or scale model engine or working display. Old model toys like this are awfully tough to find in the wild anymore so don’t miss your chance on it. It just has a great old look to it! The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it.
