This is a very nice original and very hard to find cast iron starting crank for an Ingeco or Wortington hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind.

A original bracket to a worthington engine. The bolt pattern to where the holes mount to your engine measure 3 1/8 on centers. The bolt pattern spacing to where the magneto bolts to is 2″ x 1 1/2″ on centers. The bracket has no breaks or cracks that I can find. The timing retard/advance spring is broken and missing. The little Oiler cup spring is non working. The little roller that the trip rides on is not stuck. The igniter shaft itself moves freely and doesn’t seem to show much wear. I believe this bracket would be ready to be mounted to a engine and put to use with just a little more cleaning and minor work. Please keep in mind this item is over 100 years old and is not new!!! Shows it’s years of usage quite well. See pictures for the absolute best description!

Good used straight crank shaft removed from a 1 1/2HP Worthington Hit and Miss engine. Crank diameter is 1 1/4. The total length is 22 1/2. Head for 1 1/2 HP Worthington Throttle Gov Engine. Head is in good original condition. The mounting hole pattern is 3 3/4 x 4 apart on center. The carb mounts with 2 holes about 2 3/8 apart on center. A44 – muffler would probably need apply heat to remove. 3/8 diameter hole for rocker arm mounting. No cracks, breaks, or welds that I can see. NOTE: There is an imperfection in the casting I pointed out in photo #6. It is for disclosure purposes only, and will not affect use. This is an original cast iron starting crank for an Ingeco or Worthington hit and miss gas engine. It fits on a 2 inch crankshaft and will work to start many engines but it came from the factory with an Ingeco or Worthington engine. It is part number AL216A on the shank and has Ingeco part number on the spinner The starting lug is in great shape with very little wear. This crank should be ready to go to work starting an engine! These cranks are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one to complete a restoration here it is. It would surely make starting your engine easier!
