Hit and Miss engine Breisch Olds first generation

Offered for sale is a very nicely made, Breisch Olds, Hit and Miss engine. This engine was made from the very first batch of castings that Paul Breisch produced for this engine back in the 1970′s. Breisch had a few trusted model builders which he would give a casting set to and ask them to build an engine. This was his way of testing the accuracy of his blueprints. The machine work is done beautifully. Note the hand machined high crown bolts on the head and bearing caps. Note also, the Lunkenheimer styled mixer, the hand machined oiler, the belt pulley, and the properly scaled cart and battery box. There is also an old original Champion spark plug in the head. In the battery box is an electronic buzz coil. This engine has 8 inch flywheels. The engine starts easily and runs on regular gasoline. There is a modest reserve price.
