1 1/2hp John Deere Hit Miss Gas Engines. Very Nice Original & Parts Engine NO RESERVE!!!! Here is a pair of 1 1/2 horse power John Deere Hit Miss Gas Engines. With an extra head assembly, plus flywheels with crank and gear. I have included many photos to show their condition. As can be seen they are both barn fresh. One has the nicest original logo that I have ever seen. I think the new owner will find loads of original paint under all of that. This engine has good compression for being old dry and untouched for many years. The mag shaft turns freely when the flywheels are turned. It has a very old repair on the ignitor. I do not see any other cracks or repairs. As can be seen the trip lever spring is missing and one of the. Flywheels has about a 1/16 of an inch runout. I don’t think it will take much to get this engine going. The rougher engine has a bit of compression for being dry and untouched. As can be seen it is missing a few parts. The ignitor is cracked. This is the only crack that I can find on the engine. The extra head has a broken and twisted ignitor. I have to many smaller engines, that I have been tripping over.
