Maytag 72D Twin Cylinder Hit-n-Miss Motor. Serial # 29682 is stamped on the inside of flywheel area and # 882347 is stamped on the outside edge of the flywheel itself. I found this motor in the rafters of an old equipment shed on a farm in South Central Kentucky. It DOES NOT run in current condition, however I believe it would restore well and should run great. It needs a good cleaning! The motor turns easily and I did a compression check that shows one cylinder at about 45 PSI and one at 50 PSI. I do not know what normal compression is supposed to be. One spark plug has the tip broke off, both spark plug wires are broken, one cylinder cooling fin has a piece missing, the pulley nearest the kick start has a small piece missing around the shaft area, the gas tank has dried chunks in it (presumed from old fuel), part of the outside pulley shaft is missing.
