This is a very unusual flat belt driven piston type water pump pressure washer made by Hardie Manufacturing Company as seen on the brass serial tag. It is in excellent original condition as can be seen and retains most of it’s original paint and lettering. It is in a factory enclosure and the sheet metal panels on each side lift up to watch it work. I believe the cart it is on is shop made specifically for this pressure washer. It has an opening on the top for the belt and the motor carriage appears to be homemade. It doesn’t appear to have been used very much as there is still some paint on the drive pulley. It turns over nice and smoothly with no wear in the bearings or on the gears. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of except one of the bearing caps which I’ve provided a picture of. The other bearing cap looks to be identical so this should be an easy repair. There are two original tips for the hose. The overall size of the cabinet is about 24 inches square and 36 inches tall to the top of the case without the belt guard. It has some paint overspray on it from living in a shop type environment for many decades. The hose is dry and may need to be replaced but this should be available at your local farm or industrial supply store. I’ve seen a lot of early industrial pumps and setups but this particular setup is a first for me! It would certainly be a conversation piece using it at your local engine run by an engine! Oddball setups like this hardly ever turn up in the wild or even at swap meets anymore so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss this one. The pictures tell the story.
