This is a very nice old Webster Model M low tension magneto for an old engine. It was factory equipment on many smaller hit and miss and throttle governed engines back in the day. The bearings have very little wear and it moves very smoothly with good magnetic pull. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of other than a chip on the rear oil hole which won’t affect anything. All of the mounting holes are in great shape with the studs in them. It puts out a good, hot, blue spark that will surely run an engine if it is set up properly with the addition a couple springs and rollers which are available from several suppliers rather inexpensively. It mounts on a 1 1/2 x 2 pattern. It has the original name band on it. The trip finger is in good shape. These old Webster M magnetos are getting tougher to find every day so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It would also make a great spare on the shelf.
