Vintage Maytag Engine Model 72 Motor 19 37 Twin Hit Miss Runs Great! Here is a nice original Maytag 72 Twin Cylinder. I believe this one was made in 1937. T his was the first year for the twin cylinder. This starts easy and runs great. It has the Eisemann magneto. Mounted to a custom wood skid. These Maytags can be a bit temperamental at times, but once you get it set right for starting, it will sit and run nicely. This is missing the kickstart spring. It could also use new plug wires and a new tank gasket eventually, but it runs fine as is. I have decided to leave this engine in it’s “work clothes”, as far as refinishing. You can choose wether you’d like to restore it further or run it as it is. Looks like it has some original decals. I own several of these Maytags in my collection, and they are a great hobby.
