Very hard to find Sumter No. 14 rotary magneto as used on the headless Fairbanks Morse Z engines and a few others. Magneto is in excellent rebuilt condition and has no wear in the bearings as it has been bushed. It has very little wear on the gear as can be seen. The gear is part number DJ142 and is for the headless Z engine. This magneto would also work on the 3hp Z with ignitor ignition and rotary magneto behind the hopper but the gear would have to be changed. I believe it will also work for the Plugoscillator engines but the base of the magneto would need to be changed. It has very hot spark as I’ve checked it. It mounts with two holes 3 7/8 inches apart on center. The output block has been replaced as can be seen and a very nice job was done on it. It is ready to go to work on an engine or put on your shelf a spare. These Sumter 14 magnetos are quite tough to find especially in this condition so don’t miss your chance if you need one for any reason. Let the pictures be your guide. You’ll like it.
