This is a rather hard to find original cast iron cam gear or timing gear for a Gilson gas engine. It is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for a crack in the adjustable lobe under a set screw. I don’t think this will affect it’s performance and was likely used this way for many years. It measures about 4 1/4 inches in diameter and has a 1/2 inch face. It measures about 1 1/2 inch thick through the hole which is 7/8 inch in diameter. It has 40 teeth and they are in great shape as is the cam itself. I believe this cam gear is for a 2 1/2hp engine but may fit other sizes as well. Please do your homework to be sure it fits your application. If you need a gear for your engine because yours is missing, broken, or repaired here’s your chance at a really nice one. It would also make a great spare on the shelf. These are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so don’t miss your chance on it. It would surely beat making one! The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it.
