International Harvester (IHC) Type “R”. Low Tension Magneto for Hit Miss Gas Engine. Magneto is in good condition and ready to use. Nice original mag serial #297975. 2 bolt mounting threads in good shape. 2 center on center mounting. No breaks, crack, or welds that I can see. I apologize for any inconvenience. Here is a nice looking IHC R magneto. It produces a very nice spark and has only a very minimal amount of wear. It still has the factory seal in place. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. SPECIAL NOTE: This is a low tension magneto, it is meant to work with an igniter and will not produce at spark that will jump an air gap. It will not work with a spark plug. The spark it produces can be observed by rubbing a wire from the terminal against the case of the mag while turning the shaft. It does have to be timed to the engine. 3/8 shaft for gear mounting. The mounting holes have perfect threads. Only a very minimal amount bearing wear can be felt. I think this mag is ready to start and run your engine. For questions 419 789 1159. I think I list items very accurately but my opinion on condition may differ from yours. In my opinion this is a great magneto. If you have any questions about how to use it on your engine please ask. Model M Cylinder Head. This is a good used cylinder head. There are no cracks, brakes, or repairs on this head. Both valves move and look to be in very good condition with good springs and rocker arm. The throttle is stuck but I doubt it will take much to free it. All gasket surfaces are clean with no pitting. All threaded studs are good. Head mounting holes measure 3 5/8 center to center. I ran this head through an electrolysis tank for a full day and it came out very good and removed most of any rust and grease. Prime candidate for use, dont waste your time on a junk head. It has a very slight knock when turned clockwise but none when turned counterclockwise, I don’t think that would hurt anything at all and probably couldn’t be heard when on an engine. This is a real nice original fuel pump for a 6hp International Harvester Type M gas engine. It is part number 9845-TA and is in excellent original used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs except that the packing gland is chipped and needs to be replaced. The replacement is included as can be seen. The pump body measures about 7 1/4 inches tall. There is some light wear on the plunger but it will work just fine with some fresh packing. The eared cap is in good shape and both checkballs and the spring are in the pump. With the replaced packing gland and some fresh packing it will be ready to be put to use on an engine! The pictures tell the story. These fuel pumps are extremely hard to find in the wild or even in the collector network so if you need one here is your chance. You won’t be disappointed in any way. This is a rather hard to find original International Harvester Type R low tension magneto for an old engine. It was factory equipment on the 6hp IHC Type M engines and the 1, 1 3/4, and 2 1//2hp Mogul engines.. It was also used on the vertical IHC Famous and 2 1/2hp Famous engines. It is in used condition and has an well done old repair on the nose housing that won’t be seen. It has a chip on the rear housing that could easily be repaired but it doesn’t really affect anything the way it is. The threads in the mounting holes are in great shape. The magneto has an original gear on it for a 6hp M but it has some deterioration as can be seen. The gear could easily be changed for the correct gear for a Mogul or 6hp M. The magneto turns smoothly as it should with good magnetic pull. It has very minimal wear in the bearings and has the original name band on it. The magnets have just been charged and it puts out a good, hot, blue spark that will surely run an engine if it is set up properly. These original IHC Type R magnetos are getting tougher to find every day so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It would also make a great spare on the shelf. This is an original International Harvester Type L low tension magneto for an old engine. It was factory equipment on the IHC Type M engines in the 1 1/2 and 3hp sizes. It was also used on the 1hp Famous/Titan and Titan Jr engines. It has some issues with the mounting base but I think with a little patience and creativity it would be a very nice magneto! The bearings have almost no noticeable wear and it turns over very smoothly with good magnetic pull. The magneto has an original gear on it for a 3hp Type M along with the dust shield which is a bit dented up but could easily be straightened and also has the original name band. The gear could be swapped out for the correct gear for your engine if you so choose. The magnets have just been charged and it puts out a good, hot, blue spark that will surely run an engine if it is set up properly. These original IHC Type L magnetos are getting tougher to find every day so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It would also make a great spare on the shelf. This is an old 3hp International Harvester Type M gas engine. It has been in a collection for many years. It will need a full restoration and is missing some parts as you can see. The head has a repair on the rocker stand. The flywheels move but the engine is very dry and stiff. The mixer needles both turn. Here is a pretty decent old International Harvester 6hp Type M gas engine. It is a throttle governed engine. It is in decent condition and should be a pretty straightforward project. It is missing the fuel mixer and ignitor along with some smaller items like the throttle rod and linkage. It turns over nicely and has very little wear in the cylinder. The head has two old weld repairs on it that likely could be dressed down a bit. The fuel pump is broken and will need to be welded but the plunger moves as it should. It has the original IHC Type R magneto on it. The inside of the crankcase is good and greasy and the original gas tank appears to be quite solid and likely usable. With some elbow grease this should make a pretty good engine! It would be a fine addition to your early hit and miss engine collection or International Harvester lineup. The pictures tell the story.
