For your consideration is an original Crankguard for a 3HP Fairbanks Morse Z Hit Miss Gas Engine. Its about 4-3/8″ wide overall where it bolts to the cylinder, about 5-1/2″ wide on the guard at the bottom base and about 6-1/8″ wide on the extension, 5-1/2″ wide in the center, it’s just under 17 long from end to end in the center of the actual guard. It’s in original patina with some original red paint. I believe this Cast Iron Crank Guard is for a Waterloo built engine. Appears to be a original guard. Has a stamp “2HP” in the casting. The 2 mounting holes look to measure about 4 apart on centers. No breaks or repairs that I can see. Please see pictures for the absolute best description!

I have for sale a original crank guard from a 1 1/2 or 2HP Throttle governed Fairbanks Morse Z engine. The guard has a lot of original grime and patina still left on it! In one of the pictures I point to one of the brackets, this bracket is riveted to the actual guard itself and is “loose” could easily be tightened up I assume but smashing the rivets in some or even hitting the inside with a spot welder. Please see all pictures, this item is not perfect but should work like it’s intended to with minor adjustments/tweaking if needed. Please see pictures for the absolute best description.

Here is an original steel crank guard for a 3hp Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. Seems to be in great shape and ready to use. This will not work on an engine with an FM R mag unless the one side was trimmed a bit to make room. It is meant for an engine with an AB-33 magneto or an igniter engine. Take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. For questions 419 789 1159. Fits 3hp FM Z engines. See pictures for dimensions. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description.
