Here is a Fairbanks Morse Type R magneto. This mag has the gear and impulse that is correct for some 3hp and 6hp FM Z engines with the angle cut gears. These mags with the impulse are hard to find! This mag makes a very hot spark. It turns over fine just as it should. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. If you want to talk about it 419 789 1159. Only very minimal wear can be felt. Turns smoothly just as it should. The gear is about 3-11/16 in diameter and has 35 teeth. The impulse works great. Mounts with 2 holes about 3-7/8 apart on center. Here is a nice Webster M magneto. It is very hot and in great shape. It is very tight, only a very minimal amount of wear. It spins freely with the springs off just as it should. There is one very tiny little crack by one of the mounting studs that is typical and shouldn’t hurt a thing, see pic with my pen pointing to it. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. If you have any questions 419 789 1159. SPECIAL NOTE: This is a low tension magneto, it is meant to work with an igniter and will not produce at spark that will jump an air gap. It will not work with a spark plug. The spark it produces can be observed by rubbing a wire from the terminal against the case of the mag while turning the shaft. It does have to be timed to the engine. 1-1/2″ x 2″ mounting pattern. All the studs are in great shape and are tight in their holes. One tiny tight crack by one mounting stud that will not hurt a thing. Only a very minimal amount of wear. For your consideration is a Wico EK Magneto serial #469312. It is a HOT magneto, meaning it was producing spark at the time of testing. These mags are used on Hit and Miss or Stationary type Engine or throttle governed engines. This one has had a new lead tower installed, a new roller in the armature fork, a new condenser installed and charged on my large magneto charger. There is a small piece out of the front cover and a small crack in the outer band which are shown in the pictures. If your engine uses a Wico EK magneto, YES! This will work on your engine, with the exception if you have a Cushman Cub which needs a square block on the trip and a spring return fork added, or a Novo engine then the trip fork will need rotated 90°. I tested this mag on my EK mag test stand using an Autolite 3076 spark plug with the ground tab removed to show the spark, which this is shown in the last picture. American Bosch 6V MAGNETO CHARGER. Terminals need to be redone. Works from the bottom side, but doesn’t make contact at the top. The wire leads have weathered insulation and probably could stand to be rewired. Base measures 17 L x 7-3/4 W x 2 H (10 H overall). Will work on 6 or 12 volt. Very hard to find Sumter No. 14 rotary magneto as used on the headless Fairbanks Morse Z engines and a few others. Magneto is in excellent rebuilt condition and has no wear in the bearings as it has been bushed. It has very little wear on the gear as can be seen. The gear is part number DJ142 and is for the headless Z engine. This magneto would also work on the 3hp Z with ignitor ignition and rotary magneto behind the hopper but the gear would have to be changed. I believe it will also work for the Plugoscillator engines but the base of the magneto would need to be changed. It has very hot spark as I’ve checked it. It mounts with two holes 3 7/8 inches apart on center. It has has a nice Sumter name band on it and is ready to go to work on an engine or put on your shelf a spare. These Sumter 14 magnetos are quite tough to find especially in this condition so don’t miss your chance if you need one for any reason. Let the pictures be your guide. You’ll like it. Will be listing several vintage items. Up for consideration is a Maytag Magneto upright engine with some original paint and decal. Found this engine and Two others in a barn close to Sun City & Menifee area in Southern California, they where covered under a tarp for 30 years or more. YOU JUST DON’T FIND THEM THIS COMPLETE. The fly wheel has a number on it. (Don’t know if anything is missing, looks like what ever went into the wooden box might be missing). Engine had a lot of dirt on top and I cleaned as best as I could. The wooded box needs some repair on top edges, and a couple of fins on top of motor are chipped see PHOTOS. SEE PHOTOS for condition and description. Check all photo’s. I described the condition as best as I can. IM NOT A EXPERT ON THIS TYPE OF ENGINE AND DON’T EVEN NO IF ITS GAS LISTING LIKE OTHER ONES THANKS. Ebayers say my items are better than described.
