This is the top end of a fairly large Judson steam engine governor. It is as found from an early collector’s estate. The top assembly, weights, linkages, and gear look to be in good used condition. It measures about 8 1/2 inches tall and 9 inches in “diameter”. It was broken off of the body of the governor but these are still great parts if you need them to complete another governor. Here is a Fairbanks Morse Type R magneto. This mag will fit a variety of old Fairbanks Morse Z gas engines. This mag makes a very hot spark. It turns over fine just as it should. There is a little corrosion or weathering to the top case of the mag. That will not hurt the operation of the mag in any way. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. Here is a Sumter Jr magneto. This is a rare all brass body one. It makes a really hot spark and functions just as it should. The bearings only have a small amount of wear. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. SPECIAL NOTE: This is a low tension magneto, it is meant to work with an igniter and will not produce at spark that will jump an air gap. It will not work with a spark plug. The spark it produces can be observed by rubbing a wire from the terminal against the case of the mag while turning the shaft. It does have to be timed to the engine. 3/8 shaft for gear mounting. The mounting holes have nice threads. Only a small amount of wear. For questions 419 789 1159. This is a VERY hard to find original 1 Gardner governor for a steam engine or gas engine or tractor. It is in excellent VERY lightly used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It has very little wear on the shaft or on the gears! Everything moves as it should and it shouldn’t need much attention at all to be put back into service. The 1 npt threads are in great shape as can be seen. This governor measures about 14 tall overall. If you need a governor for a project or just for a spare on the shelf this is a really nice one that hardly needs any attention.
