This is an original Barnes Mud Pump that was originally run by a hit and miss gas engine. It was all taken apart by a previous owner and is “mostly complete” as far as I can see. I know it is missing one of the cast iron risers for the rear axle but one is there for a pattern to have one recast. It has the drive gear, pump housing, arms, cart axles, wheels, handle, frame, check valve, crankshaft, drive gear, bearing saddle, and many smaller parts. Everything seems to be in pretty good shape. There is an old weld repair on one of the ears of the housing but it is very solid. The wheels are very heavy cast iron and measure about 14 inches in diameter with a 4 1/2 inch face. This could be a fun little assembly project and mud pumps really are attention getters at the show!
