Here’s a VERY RARE oiler. This is a #1 Victor Swingtop made by Lunkenheimer Cincinnati Ohio. This is a very rare style and size of oiler. I’ve had hundreds of oilers through the years, but hardly any Swingtop Victors. This one is in very nice shape & would make a great showpiece on an engine or on the shelf. The swing arm and needle are in great shape and work nicely. I replaced the lower sight glass gasket, so it should be ready to use! The glass and threads look good. Minor wrench marks as shown in the picture, but this is a beautiful rare little oiler. This is a Old Vintage “LA” McCormick Deering / IHC 1 1/2 – 2 1/2 HP Engine. It seems to be in nice condition, though I have not tried to run it. It has decent compression & Spark. It also comes with the belt pulley, as shown. It will come exactly as shown in the Pic’s. I will either build a crate for it or bolt it to a pallet & deliver to the shipper of your choice, in Sioux City, Ia. I use Fastenal for most of my engines & they are reliable & reasonable. This is a real nice original 6-feed mechanical oiler or lubricator for an early gas engine, tractor, car or truck, or other piece of machinery. It was made by Detroit Lubricator Company in Detroit. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the glass tent on the top which really doesn’t affect anything. It seems to have very little wear anywhere on it. It has a cast iron body. The original level sight glass is good. It turns smoothly and pumps oil from 2 of the pumps. I really see no reason it doesn’t pump on all of them but it probably needs a good internal cleaning as it has been sitting a while. The case measures about 4 3/4 x 9 inches and is about 6 1/2 inches tall overall. Overall it is about 10 inches long. It mounts with four holes on a 5 3/8 x 7 3/8 pattern. These early Detroit lubricators are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up and it probably won’t be this nice. I can be reached at 262 573 1931 if you’d like to talk about it. The pictures tell the story. Very cool piece of history! There is a small crack in the middle canister. It appears as if a BB was shot on the interior of the glass slightly cracking it, but not all the way through. No other cracks or chips. The brass has discolored some with age. The smallest oiler to right (when viewing first photo) reads Lunkenheimer Co. 11; Patented December 19, 1899″, the middle oiler reads “Essex Brass Corp; Detroit Mich U. “, and the fifth oiler from the right reads “Made in America” on the knob, the sixth oiler reads “The D. 4″, and the last oiler reads “Lunkenheimer Co. 30.50 inches long. The tallest oiler measures 10.00 inches high. 4.00 inches deep at deepest points. Weighs 3 ounces. We were lucky enough to get to dig around his storage unit some. This is an extremely hard to find original Bosch ZA1 single cylinder magneto for an early hit and miss engine, car, motorcycle, or other application. It is fresh from an old farm shop where it lived for decades. It is in good condition for its age but does have a crack in the housing that should be able to be repaired with some space age adhesive. It also has a split in the points housing that I’ve pointed out. It has one side of the base cut off but I think the base is replaceable without too much hassle. It turns over pretty nicely and has a good hot spark. It is counter or anti-clockwise rotation. This should be a pretty straightforward restoration project. These counter clockwise magnetos are not very easy to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one for a project don’t miss it.
