This is a rather hard to find original Webster magneto for an ignitor fired hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is as close to New Old Stock as you could hope to find and if it was used it wasn’t used very much at all! It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is a model L with 3 magnets. The magneto mounts on a 2 inch square pattern and was used on many gas engines of the day. There is almost no noticeable wear in the bearings. I checked it just before I took the pictures and it puts out a nice, hot, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is set up properly. There is very little wear on the trip finger. The threads in the mounting holes are in great shape and have the original studs in them yet. It has the original name band on it yet. If you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It is probably the cleanest and sharpest original Webster I’ve ever owned or offered. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up! It would also make a great spare on the shelf. Let the pictures be your guide. You won’t be disappointed in any way. This is an extremely hard to find original Webster magneto for an ignitor fired hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is a model PY with 3 magnets. The magneto mounts on a 2 7/16 x 2 13/16 inch bolt pattern and was used on larger gas engines of the day. There is almost no noticeable wear in the bearings. I checked it just before I took the pictures and it puts out a nice, hot, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is set up properly. There is very little wear on the trip finger. The threads in the mounting holes need attention in at least two of them. Two still have the studs in and may be usable but you may want to helicoil them as well. It has the original name band on it yet. It has a slight crack in one of the endplates that some space age adhesive should remedy pretty easily. It also has a chipped ear on that same endplate. It also needs a leadout cover. I’m pretty sure the endplates and leadout covers are the same as the Webster JY magnetos. It has new springs on it. These large PY magnetos are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets. I’ve only owned 3 of them in 20+ years. If you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up! It would also make a great spare on the shelf. Let the pictures be your guide. This is an extremely hard to find original KW lighting generator or dynamo for an early tractor, car, or truck. It might also be able to be used as an ignition dynamo for an early hit and miss gas engine. It is a belt driven dynamo and has the original pulley on it yet. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for a small chip in the lip of the pulley. It is a model LS with 3 magnets. There is almost no noticeable wear in the bearings. It turns smoothly with excellent magnetic pull. I checked it just before I took the pictures and it puts out excellent voltage. It is on the original brass, spring-loaded, hinged bracket to keep tension on the driving belt. These generators hardly ever turn up in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It is an extremely nice one that needs nothing. This is a very hard to find original Elkhart rotary low tension magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. This is the largest Elkhart magneto that I can remember ever seeing with 4 magnets on it. These were used on Sparta Economy, Falk, and several other engines. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It turns nicely with good magnetic pull and puts out a hot, blue spark. It mounts on a 2 x 3 1/8 inch rectangular bolt pattern and the threads seem to be in good shape. It doesn’t appear to have been abused as you can see. It has very little noticeable wear in the bearings. These Elkhart magnetos are increasingly tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. Little 1 1/2HP Nelson brothers hit miss engine I believe. Engine has some original paint and pin stripes left! Engine has one weld that I can find which is on the feed tube that attaches to carburetor, it looks like a old repair! Engine has one break that I can see which is on one of the governor weights, the ear is broken off that rides in the governor collar. Piston and bore looks to be in good condition and turns over freely! There’s a small hole drilled through the cam gear, i think someone had plans of installing spark plug ignition at one time. Comes with a reproduction brass rocker arm that still needs machined. Bearings still have plenty of life left in them! Engine is missing the mag, gas tank, speed lever, and misc bolts and springs I’m sure! Engine should make a great project it’s small and easy to move!! Parts for these Nelson brothers are easy to find it seems like. Still lots of grease and original paint! Please ask questions if you have any! I can bolt this to a pallet and drop off at my local Fastenal for no extra charge! My Fastenal is located in Mt Pleasant Iowa 52641. It is in good original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the roller bracket on the front of the armature. It is a model K with 2 magnets. The magneto mounts on a 2 inch square pattern and was used on many gas engines of the day. There is almost no noticeable wear in the bearings. It is the better version with the all brass body. It needs a roller bracket and springs which are available rather inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. I checked it just before I took the pictures and it puts out a nice, hot, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is set up properly. There is very little wear on the trip finger. The threads in the mounting holes are in great shape and have the original studs in them yet. It needs a new name band but those are available from several of the hobby suppliers as well. If you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up! It would also make a great spare on the shelf. This scarce antique original Magneto Tester or Testing Bench was quality old school USA made by Allen. Includes an Adjustable Spark Gap attachment, is 110-volt powered with a reversible variable-speed motor. It measures about 32 inches wide by 47 inches tall by 28 inches deep. Came out of an old Garage that did extensive Hit & Miss Engine Repair (it began in 1910 & closed many years ago). Seems to work fine would be a great Mag tester tool for antique Hit & Miss Engine/Early Car/Tractor/Motorcycle restorers or collectors.
