Here is a pretty nice old International Harvester 6hp Type M gas engine. It is a throttle governed engine. It is fresh from an old collection where it lived for many years. It is in excellent shape for it’s age and has super compression. The Wico EK magneto is very hot and the engine runs good by putting gas in the mixer bowl. I’m sure it would run on gas from the tank but haven’t tried it. The flywheels run true. There is very little wear on the gearing or the main bearings or anywhere else on the engine. It has a very well done braze repair on the had that could easily be ground down and it has a break on the throttle shaft which I have pointed out. It functions fine like this or it could easily be replaced or repaired. There are no other cracks, breaks, or repairs anywhere on it that I can see or know of. It has the original serial tag on it. These 6hp M’s are real workhorses if you’d like to run a grinder, sheller, or other piece of equipment. It would be a fine addition to your hit and miss engine collection or International Harvester lineup. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it.
