HOT ACCURATE Type R Low Tension Magneto. Pot Metal body – original band. Bench tested – HOT with test light. I recharged the magnets. Base is 3″ x 3″ with 2 mounting holes that measure 1 15/16 apart-on-center. Mounting threads look good. There is a video of this mag running an engine. Please feel free to call me with questions. My parts inventory has grown out of control, so set a reminder to check back frequently for new listings! If you don’t see a part you need listed, good chance I just haven’t gotten around to it yet, so just check with me. Like I said, I have been doing this a long time and try to list everything accurately and to provide a detailed explanation of the item, both good and the bad. VERY hard to find original brass body Accurate Engineering Company Model U magneto as used on some International Harvester Company Mogul sideshaft engines. It’s in great original shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs other than a couple blemishes in the original name band. It has been bushed at some point in the past and oscillates very smoothly with excellent magnetic pull and puts out a very hot spark that will surely run your engine if set up properly. It looks to have minimal wear on the trip finger. It mounts with two holes 2 inches apart on center and the threads are in great shape. It has great original patina and would look good on a nice original engine! It’s ready to go to work on an engine or would be a great spare on the shelf for the next time you need one as they just don’t come along very often! It would also be a very nice upgrade for a diecast body Model U magneto. These Accurate U brass magnetos are quite tough to find especially in this condition so don’t miss your chance if you need one for any reason. Let the pictures be your guide. You’ll like it. Very hard to find and real nice original Accurate Model U brass bodied magneto for the IHC Mogul sideshaft and Titan sideshaft engines. Great original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs except a slight crack in the name band. Mounts with two holes 2 inches apart on center and the threads are in great shape. I cleaned it up a little but left enough old grease/oil on it for a nice original engine. Everything moves as it should and there is very little noticeable wear on the armature bearings. It has good spark and should be ready to run an engine. These Mogul magnetos are extremely hard to find in the wild or even at swap meets. So if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It would also make a great spare on the shelf. Let the pictures be your guide. You’ll like it. Very hard to find brass bodied Accurate U magneto as used on the International Harvester Mogul sideshaft engines. Magneto is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except that it needs a new insulating washer on the leadout which should be very simple. It has no noticeable bearing wear and oscillates nicely. It has minimal wear on the trip finger and has very good spark that should run your engine if it is set up properly. It mounts with two holes 2 inches apart on center and the threads are in perfect shape. It has nice old patina or you could clean it if you’d like. It also has the original name band on it. It is ready to go to work on an engine or put on your shelf a spare. These brass bodied Accurate magnetos are so much nicer than the diecast bodied ones. Let the pictures be your guide. Accurate type O magneto for hit miss engine. Mag is in good condition and ready to use. Mag has is freshly rebuilt by Marks Magneto. Mag fits the IH Mogul side shaft engines and others as well. BRASS mag that is very solid to use. Threads are all in good shape. Lights up a 12 volts test light by hand nice. I recharged the magnets to make sure it was at full strength. 2″ X 2″ mounting spacing. Guaranteed to be a HOT mag. This is a very hard to find original Accurate Type R rotary low tension magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. These were used on the 1, 1 3/4, and 2 1/2 hp International Harvester Mogul engines from the factory. They were also options on many other IHC engines including the vertical Famous, 2 1/2hp horizontal, 1hp Famous/Titan, and several others including the earliest 6hp Type M’s. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It has almost no wear in the bearings and turns over with excellent magnetic pull. It puts out a hot, fat, blue spark and is ready to run your engine if it is set up properly. It mounts with two holes 2 inches apart on center and the threads are in perfect shape. It has the original name band on it and overall it has a great look to it! If you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. This is a really nice original Accurate Type R rotary magneto. It was used on the earliest 6hp Type M engines with ignitor ignition. It was also standard equipment on the 1, 1 3/4, and 2 1/2hp Mogul engines. It was also optional equipment on the vertical Famous, and some of the horizontal Famous and Titan engines and some others. It mounts with two holes 2 inches apart on center and the mounting threads are in great shape. It is in great used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has very little wear in the bearings and has the original name band on it. It turns over nice and smoothly with excellent magnetic pull and puts out a hot, fat, blue spark! It needs two washers and a compression spring on the leadout post to be complete. These are available from the hobby suppliers or you could easily make some. With the addition of these it will be ready to be put to use on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare! It’s one of the nicest brass R magnetos I’ve had in quite some time. They usually require several hundred dollars worth of repair work but not this one. The pictures tell the story. It mounts with two holes 2 inches apart on center and the mounting threads are in great shape. It is in great used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has very little wear in the bearings and has the original name band on it. It turns over nice and smoothly with excellent magnetic pull and puts out a hot, fat, blue spark! It needs two washers and a compression spring on the leadout post to be complete. These are available from the hobby suppliers or you could easily make some. With the addition of these it will be ready to be put to use on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare! It’s one of the nicest brass R magnetos I’ve had in quite some time. They usually require several hundred dollars worth of repair work but not this one. The pictures tell the story.
