Very nice John Deere hit n miss engine looking for a new home. I have up for sale a very nice good running model E hit n miss engine. This engine has been very well cared for. It has a good hot magneto with good spark at the points. Points are in good shape. Brass tag on side governor cove has a serial # 328475 making it 84 years old and built in 1934. Their is no cracks, breaks or welds any where on the engine except a small weld on the rocker pivot arm. The plug on the water tank is free and not rusted in like some are. Here is a list of things I have done to the engine. I have just replaced the igniter gasket, head gasket, magneto gasket, governor gasket and crank case gasket. I also installed a new gas tank. Installed a new stainless steel oil pan too. I try to tell you everything about the engine that I possibly can but please ask questions if you have any. I had the cart powder coat painted at a factory so it should last a long time. The front axle is a original with the # E42R and the 2 front wheels have the #E44R. 1 of the wheels has a chip out of it but is still in good shape. The rear axle has been replaced at some time and is not original but still a nice axle as are the wheels. Engine does have some oil blow by around the main bearings but most of these old motors do and did right out of the factory. I may be able to meet you part way when you come to get it.
