OK – Here we have an Antique 2 HP Jaeger – (Hercules) Hit and Miss Gas engine. The Engine is restored and correct in every way. Starts and runs well! Take a look at the pictures. Note the following: The Fuel fill, Governor bearing grease extension, Oiler tube stabilizer clamp in water hopper, and spring loaded grease cup on connecting rod, are all correct as to application. These were used on portable Cement Mixers in the 1920′s. Sits on a nice Cart with a handle. Always stored is a climate controlled area. You will look far and wide to find a Jaeger this nice! The cart is finished in OAK and Steel with aluminum wheels, the deck height is 5″, (+/-) and it is approximately 30″ overall length and about 9 wide. The wheelbase is 16 1/2″ long x 11 ” wide, wheels are 4 in diameter and are cast aluminum. This is a cart for that miniature running model engine that you built last year that is just sitting on your shelf looking good, but, not attached to anything! THIS IS A SCALE MODEL, NOT A FULL SIZE CART. THIS LISTING IS FOR THE CART ONLY, NO ENGINE IS INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING! These old engines were heavy, usually a few hundred pounds if you bought a 1 1/2 horsepower engine to well over a thousand pounds for a 7 1/2 horsepower! The solution was a dedicated wagon that the engine could be moved on, a “cart” so to speak. Many engine suppliers furnished carts similar in design to this one, many more farmers figured out how to build their own! This cart is not scaled from any particular design, it is just what looks about right for the purpose intended that is to display your miniture model engine. Wood is pre finished similar to photo with a clear shellac coating, wheels are NOT painted, all iron parts are finished black oxide. This a completely finished miniture cart, we supplied notes on how to install your engine upon it. Two cross members are supplied loose with instructions for fitting to your particular engine.
