This is a very rare and complete including the original manifold and pressure gauge Stuart Sirius was used to run the Stuart compressor in my other listing. This same model was used in WWII to run the Stuart Firefly generating set to charge radio batteries. This engine has its serial number on the cylinder head casting as shown in the pictures. This engine runs very smoothly at few pounds with no play, very good compression, in superb condition overall. Particular attention was given to the valve gear and steam passage design with the result that the engine produces great power using a surprisingly low volume of steam. Our tests have shown that running at 2800 rpm the engine produces 1/3 bhp. Stuart boiler feed pump, in perfect working order. Tested on both compressed air. And steam works great and starts on very little pressure. Follow Youtube links below to see it running on air and steam. Instead of standard drain cocks this one is fitted with needle type drain valves. Steam inlet and outlet are threaded 3/16 x 40 tpi to fit union for 3/32” pipe. Water inlet is threaded for 5/16” pipe and outlet for 1/4”. Exhaust pipe seen on pictures and steam union are screwed on with ptfe tape and can be easily replaced with any other fitting if required. Pump comes mounted on varnished hard wood plinth. Here we have a Stuart Turner shaft driven boiler feed pump that could be fitted to any Stuart steam engine. The pump body as well as the worm gears were perfectly machined as seen in the photos, and rotate freely very smoothly. The pump pluger is also machined very well. What is left to be machined is the plunger cylinder (a hole and threads are needed to complete the job). This pump could fit a steam engine as well as any hit and miss engine that requires cooling. Here is a very rare magneto / igniter setup for a Simplicity Gas Engine. This is an early bracket with the highly sought after and rare Podlesak magneto. Or even if you just need a mag, you won’t find them much nicer in barn fresh condition than this. I’ve looked the mag & igniter over and they seem to be in nice original condition. I don’t see anything broken and there are no welds or repairs. The igniter and mag both look nice and greasy & they rotate smoothly. Neither are stuck nor are the worn out. The shafts feel nice and snug. I hooked a meter up to the mag and flipped it with a screwdriver & it moved the needle back and forth. So the coils should be good. It might need a recharge on the magnets, but I think it should work without much more than a good cleanup & lubrication. This is a really nice outfit & I would be very excited to find this if I needed it for my Simplicity engine. 2 7/8 center to center on the mounting holes.
