I acquired this engine with no info whatsoever. I cleaned it up, checked timing (has nice points set-up), hooked to a battery and coil and added gas (50:1 premix to be safe) it ran after a little adjusting. Looks like it has run at length before but i only ran it for about five minutes. You will need to support it to a base to secure it while running and mount ground wire to one of the engine base mounting holes. I did not pull this engine apart and only know it has compression and there is a little play in the connecting rod bearings. Flywheels are heavy cast iron and run true. Looks like you could turn a pulley on them with your lathe pretty easily. Note: flywheels are held in place with one allen-head set screw. I would also recommend notching crankshaft where set screws touch to prevent future slipping. (you will need a battery trickle charger). There is a picture showing the metal oiler removed. Flywheels: 5 3/4″x 3/4″wide. Width: 3 at base. Height: 5 1/2 to top of hopper. Bore and stroke: 1×1 3/8.The item “Working Hit and Miss Model Engine & Gas Powered” is in sale since Wednesday, April 15, 2015.
