The carburetor is not correct but works great, probably better than the correct carb, it’s an Essex which is quite a hard carburetor to find. This engine runs just as good as it looks. ONLY damage is one chipped fin on the head, hardly worth mentioning. This engine has been totally gone through by the last owner, new gas tank, new knife switch, new ignition wires, new battery box, new leather fan belt, new check valve, new nameplate, new fan, rebuilt ignitor, valve job, custom made platform on wheels to make moving the engine very easy, and I’m sure more things were done I’m not aware of. Paint job still looks great, flawless pinstriping. Absolutely no detent hammering, and the compression is very good. This engine is perfectly in time, both ignition and valve timing. Comes with a nice, hot, low tension coil that you can see in the video. This engine is ready for the shows, all you need is a 6 or 12 volt battery and some gas. Feel free to ask questions!
