I knew the metal tin and fan were factory correct so I had a feeling this engine would clean up nicely. Got it home, disassembled everything, and cleaned the old grease while trying to maintain the factory paint as much as possible. I mounted the factory battery box on some skids, and mounted the trucks. The wheels and axles are old, but the castings for the front steering and rear axle are reproductions. It runs like a clock, works as it was intended 100 years ago. Speed is adjustable and runs reliably at a nice easy pace. Ran it for 3 hours with no problems. Easy to start, and doesn’t run hot whatsoever. The fan and fan belt are original, it looks great and sounds awesome. The exhaust is quiet, so the whooshing sound of the fan is neat. I really enjoy working on these old engines and once they are complete I start looking for my next project. I’m located in Orangeville Ohio 44404. Thanks, and have a great day!
